- Hat Yai, is the
third largest city in Thailand,
and
the main business center in the southern Thailand
region. Hat Yai offers a sizzling nightlife
mainly serving
Malaysian and Singaporean tourist. Maybe very
interesting for the guys who want to have some fun
for a few days. Several places offer cabaret and
other shows, which are somehow interesting
considering what they are doing, such as tiger show
and live show plenty of massage parlors are around
at downtown. There are also quite a lot Hat Yai
hotels, the tallest hotel is the Lee Garden Hotel
right in the center of Hat Yai. The lower floors are
a shopping center and above is the hotel. At the top
of this Hat Yai Hotel is a restaurant with a
breathtaking panorama view over the city and a wide
radius up to Songkhla, see the pictures below.
A real problem for the people of Hat Yai is that Hat
Yai
southern Thailand are Islamist fanatics
called "insurgents and insurgency" from time to time
in the past bomb blasts, killing and casualties
occurred but it has been quiet for the last few
years maybe they struck a deal with them.
This people obviously don't like when others have a
different lifestyle, but at the same time
demand from the others to tolerate their lifestyle,
its strange isn't it ?
Actually the area was
under the Srivijaya kingdom
(7th – 14th century) which covered Sumatra, Java, the Malay Peninsula and
southern Thailand, right up to Surat Thani and Nakhon Sri Thammarat
with a mix of Indian, Khmer, Java and Sumatra cultures.
There are plenty of Buddha Temples in the area plus the
great Mosque between Hat Yai and Songkhla, it's one of the
biggest Mosques in Thailand, there Muslims have a great
place to pray just as a Buddhist do this at the temple or
pagoda. |

At Chaya south of Chumphon is one of the oldest Mosque in Asia. Unfortunately there are plenty of religious and social influences which meet in the deep south Thailand.

Hat Yai is well known for a sizzling nightlife not of the screaming type such as Patong, Patpong and Pattaya, its not as visible everything goes on behind closed door. If a single guy walking around the Lee Garden Hotel at downtown continuously the girls are approaching and offering all kind of funny sexy activities. Hat Yai and Sadao nightlife (Sadao is the border crossing town about 50 km to the south) is also more or less Malaysia border nightlife since many Malaysian guys simply have enough from the encroaching Islamists who try to cut down the freedom of everyone. |

This drives many Malaysian guys over the border to have some fun with Hat Yai and Sadao nightlife girls. A night at Hat Yai, girl nightlife and Sadao nightlife with Sadao girls is the logical result, who wants to watch TV all time or do it with the guys ? At Sadao nightlife is more open visible almost such as in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket with plenty of Karaoke Bars, Nightclubs, Go-Go Bars and myriads of pretty Thai girls. |
