Thailand has plenty orchid nurseries and garden

with an enormous assortment of orchids. Decades ago there were plenty of problems with poaching the little tropical beauties but this is no issue anymore thanks to hybrid cross-breeding. The plants of the forests have been cultivated, the genes multiplied in sterile labs and now more than several thousand plants are available, it needs to differentiate between  hybrids which are the ones to be for sale and the species which are not still in the forests and whether for sale  nor for export around the globe. Actually the country is the biggest exporter of these pretty plants. .

There is a $ 6,- entrance fee which includes a bundle of this plants in different varieties and colors, each is prepared with small plastic containers having water inside if you care a bit this can last for about 2 weeks. They also bring this to the hotel is you like.

These colorful plants enrich optically any room to finally look better and that means you feel better. There are several more great gardens in the region one is the "Kuala Lumpur Orchid Garden" and the one in Singapore which is one of the best worldwide with a lake, waterfall etc. it right in the city center just about 10 minutes' walk from the center of Orchard Road.
